How does ShelfPrice work?

Point your camera at a supermarket shelf. ShelfPrice's AI reads every price tag, extracts the product, package size, and price, then computes the unit price (€/kg or €/L) and ranks the shelf by best value.

Which supermarkets are supported?

ShelfPrice works at any store whose price tags show package size and price clearly. It is optimized for Spanish and Italian supermarkets (Mercadona, Carrefour, Lidl, Conad, Esselunga), with broader European support on the roadmap.

Are the prices verified?

No. ShelfPrice reads what is printed on the shelf tag. Always verify at checkout — promotions, stocking errors, and tag mismatches can occur. The best-value ranking is a shopping aid, not a guarantee.

Can I save my favorite products?

Yes. Premium users can favorite products, view price history over time, and filter by diet (gluten-free, lactose-free). Free accounts can scan and see the top three ranked results per shelf.

Is my shelf photo stored on your servers?

No. Photos are sent to the AI for price-tag reading and discarded after the response is delivered. Your favorites and price history live only on your device.

Is there a daily usage limit?

Yes, to ensure service quality there is a daily limit of 50 shelf scans per device. The limit resets every 24 hours.

How do I cancel or refund a subscription?

Subscriptions and refunds are handled by Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device, or contact Apple Support directly.
